Russian ballet seasons go on

The ballets Russes, which opened June 28, 2016, continues. Until August 28, 2016, ballet lovers can enjoy the classical Russian ballet in the best modern productions.

Hall of the theatre is full, among the viewers there are a lot of foreign guests (Germans, French, British, Japanese and Indians), but also a lot of Russian theater audience of young and Mature ages.

The core team of the ballet is Mari state Opera and ballet (directed by Konstantin Ivanov) – already presented to the audience their wonderful production of “Swan lake”, “don Quixote”, “Romeo and Juliet”, “Cinderella” and “Le Corsaire”, the latter of which is Moscow’s premiere of the ballet troupe. The second Moscow premiere is today, on July 05, 2016, it is “Esmeralda”.

Konstantin Korotkov, Prime soloist of the performances and Honored artist of the Republic of Mari El, is in the performances leading in a positive roles. Graduate of the Choreographic Department of the Mari College after I. S. Palantay, he from the age of 16 is associated with the team. Initially led by the parent in the choice of profession, he then, in his words, “fell in love with dance and continued this way. “My main desire,” says Konstantin on the question of creative ambition, to have more work in plays and festivals. I care about each one of the performed plays, because it gives the possibility to realize different images. For example, in “Romeo and Juliet” I can convey to the viewer a romantic mood.”

In six ballets Mari theatre performance accompanied Grigory Arkhipov, a graduate of the Petrozavodsk Conservatory after A. K. Glazunov, who for 4 years working with Mari theatre of Opera and ballet after E. Sapaev. Orchestra of the Mari theater consists of about 40 musicians, constantly accompanying the troupe. “By and large, ballet repertoire for my main and I don’t remember the ballet took place without me,” says Gregory. In response to the question of the admission of the public in the Russian ballet seasons, the conductor suggests that taking Mari ballet well: “we have these seasons is the response from the public, contact with the audience is established from the first show. If there is no contact, then it’s a tragedy, but if there is a viewer, which thankfully meets and accompanies artists is very exciting.”

On July 04, 2016 in a Russian ballet seasons were the Russian ballet Theatre “Talarium et lux” with a performance of “Giselle”. Soon, the Seasons will join the ballet Theatre of classical choreography (art. hands. — Elik Melikov), Russian classical ballet (art. hands. — Oksana Usacheva), Theatre “Smirnov Ballet” (Art. hands. — Lyudmila, Nerubaiske) and soloists of the Grand Opera, who will perform on 19 and 21 July 2016 with “don Quixote and the Nutcracker. Heloise Bourdon (Héloïse Bourdon) and jérémy-Loup Coeur (Jérémy-Loup Quer) will perform a Pas de Deux and variation of Kitri and Basilio, the characters of the ballet “don Quixote”, in the wording of the Russian dancer Rudolf Nureyev, created for Grand Opera, Grand Opéra, Opéra Garnier).

Performances of “Summer ballet seasons” are traditionally held on the stage of Russian academic youth theatre (RAMT) at the Theater square, Moscow. Here at the Zimin Opera, or Theater, the second to the revolution were the performances of Michael Chekhov and other famous theater groups, including with the participation of Fyodor Shalyapin.

“Summer ballet seasons” are held already 16th times by Agency Concerta together with GUK “Moskontsert” with the support of the Moscow Department of culture.
