In September-October 2016 everyone will traditionally have the opportunity to learn about Russian art, to understand it and to find out the latest news on art in the Tretyakov Gallery.
A few forms of acquiring knowledge will be available for the visitors: a set of lectures, excursions and Art experts school. After visiting the lecture, it makes sense to schedule a visit to the museum of original works’ study.
The thematic excursion programs begin in September 2016 and in coincide with the exhibitions held at the Tretyakov gallery. Moreover, the review, individual and corporate excursions are held, which must be ordered separately. The lecture programs will start on October, 1 2016.

On Sundays at 12:00 (October 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 2016) the intensive annual course on painting – a brief history of Russian art will be held. It also includes lectures and seminars that can be combined with the School of art in the exhibition halls of the museum. Everyone can learn to analyze the works of art, which will help the viewer to understand art.
For those who would like to understand some important things in painting, the lecture and artistic programs with video “Myths and legends in art” will take place on October 23 and 30 2016 at 2 pm. On October 30, 2016 at 1 pm a lecture-concert cycle “The great iconographers” will start.
This academic program is for those who wish to gain a deep system knowledge in history of the Russian art.
