New Opera World

Singers from 7 countries and instrumentalists from 17 cities of Russia will take part in the premiere of two operas “Pagliacci” by R. Leoncavallo and “Eugene Onegin” by P. I. Tchaikovsky in the theater after B. A. Pokrovsky.

Gregory Buchalter (Metropolitan Opera), Francesco Massimi (Academy of La Scala) and Andrew Shlyachkov (Helikon Opera) will conduct during the staging.

International project of summer Opera and Symphony of the New World Opera lab is new for Russia. It aims to identify and promote young talented Opera singers. Soloists from around the world are carefully selected to participate in the project, and then improved under the guidance of world-class masters and get access on the prestigious scene of Moscow.

On the stage of the Chamber music theatre named Pokrovsky premiere of “Pagliacci” will be held 21, 22, 23 July 2016, and “Eugene Onegin” – 28, 28, 30 July 2016. Directing and scenography of the performances promises to be interesting. Performances will be beautiful.

Gala concert on the stage of Moscow international House of Music will be held on 24 Jul 2016.
