Orthodox believers and Catholics are united with inadmissibility of sacred object desecration

Chairman of the Synodal information Department of the Russian Orthodox Church V.R. Legoida declared on January 13, 2015 that desecration of any sacred object is inadmissible. The reason for the statement was the graffity act in Memorial mosque on Poklonnaya hill in Moscow (the monument dedicated to memory of world wars).

Similar opinion was expressed on Thursday January 15, 2015 by Pope François on press-conference. In his monologue he drawn the line between freedom of discussion and freedom of conscience. The reason for the conversation is act of terrorism in editorial office of French comic weekly Charlie Hebdo.
