International Moscow Automotive Forum will be held on August 22-23

AEB at IMAF 2016

The prestigious annual VIII Moscow international automotive forum (IMAF) will be held on August 22-23, 2017 in “Expocentre” in Moscow. The Association of European Businesses (AEB), which is the largest Association of Western investors in Russia will be the traditional co-organizer of the dialogue between hundreds of key companies in the automotive industry.

Representatives of the Russian government (Ministry of industry and trade, Ministry of economy, RECs and other organizations are invited), the largest Russian automakers (Mazda Motor Rus, Volkswagen group Rus, AVTOVAZ, GAZ, Ford Sollers and others) and technology providers, raw materials and materials for automobile industry will meet again at the International forum of the automotive industry.

In 2016, the forum became a platform for direct communication between 200 companies. The topic of last year there was the situation in the car industry: “Is it the turning point of  the industry?”. For the effectiveness of the forum its organisers held a purchasing session, where the manufacturers of products for the automotive industry were able to present their services directly to the automakers.

The key topic of the VIII IMAF will be “the Automotive industry in the process of transformation: factors of success”. There will be discussed the issues of state support of automotive industry, of industrial Assembly in Russia and the current investment mechanisms (Special investment contract), assessment of the market, strategy of development of production and exports until 2025. A large place will be given to technology. High-tech development will be represented by manufacturers of automotive components, such as WEEN disk pads for BMW, ERC additives, new products of the brand PATRON, the XTEC line of oils and ATF and more. Catalogue of the exhibition of 2017 is more than 1’200 companies.

The VIII International Moscow automotive forum is held at the same time with MIMS Automekanika 2017.
