There are many ways to cook pumpkin. It can be marinated, baked, fried, juice and soup can be made from it. We offer a traditional dish of the Russian cuisine -a rice porridge baked in a pumpkin. The recipe is given below.
Rice porridge baked in a pumpkin
This dish is one of traditional dishes of the Russian cuisine.
To cook it, you will need the following ingredients:
Pumpkin rice (1 Cup)
sour cream (1 Cup)
butter (100 g)
sugar (1/4 Cup)
1 cup of raisins
5-6 whisked egg whites
1) Cut off the top of the pumpkin, clean it from the seeds and pulp, and make the pumkin rind 1.5 cm thick. Then take one cup of rice and boil it until it is semiprepared (for 10 minutes).
2) Mix in one container: rice, raisins, sour cream, sugar, whipped egg whites and mashed grated pumpkin flesh.
3) Fill the pumpkinwith the mixture, cover it with the cut pumkin top and put it in the oven for one hour at a temperature of 180 degrees.
After cooking the dish, leave it for some time. The whole pumkin can be served on a serving dish.с
