15 offices of Visit Russia will be opened till January 2017

“Visit Russia” project is being actively developed. It is forming network of marketing offices, promoting Russian tourism product abroad. Its main purpose is to create a positive Russian tourist image and attraction of tourist flow. The first office was opened in Helsinki in July 2015, on November 8, 2016 Visit Russia office was opened in London, on 17 November it will be opened in Milan, on December 8 – in Paris, on 16 December – in Vienna, and on January 19, 2017 – in Madrid it will be opened 15th in a row office.

It was said by Deputy Minister of Culture Alla Manilova, who oversees the Department of Tourism and Regional Policy. Also, at the same time being the curator of the “Tourism” section on V St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum, she told about the upcoming work of the section on 1 and 2 December 2016.

The forum participants will discuss the issues of competitiveness and development of the regions, the results of the implementation new principles of statistical accounting in domestic tourism. On December 2, in the Russian Ethnographic Museum the project “Great Silk Road” will be presented – map of section of the Silk Road, that has historically took place on the territory of 28 regions of Russia.

Alla Manilova noted a huge interest in the section: “First of all, the participants will be the tourism ministers from all 85 Russian regions. In this section of more than 500 people registered representing 300 organizations and institutions from 50 Russian regions. In addition to ministers, there are market participants, heads of tourist information centers and so on. There are planned performances of 20 professional Russian and foreign experts on the most topical issues of development domestic and incoming tourism.”
